Noah's TitanicNoah's Titanic is one of my favorite Antje songs. Does anyone have thoughts on its meaning? Are there any allusions besides All Along the Watchtower? My favorite line is, "Closer to the truth than the kettle to the stove." When I listen, I take "the truth" to be pretty abstract -- some sort of existentialist epiphany -- but I often interpret poetry more abstractly than I should. Does "the truth" have a more concrete meaning in this song?
And how does the title relate to the lyrics? Are the joker and the thief supposed to be like a pair of animals on the Ark? And why would they be doomed like the Titanic?
